Today it is exactly 12 years since the publication of the famous Bitcoin White Paper, written by Satoshi Nakamoto.
Manifesto: announcement of the creation of BTC
The so-called Nakamoto’s manifesto was published equal to 12 years ago – on October 31, 2008. The creator of BTC distributed it originally via a mailing list metzdowd.com. The document describes the principles of operation of the Bitcoin network.
“A full-fledged version of electronic money based on the peer-to-peer network communication model would allow online payments to be sent directly from one entity to another without the need for transactions to flow through financial institutions”
– this is the first sentence of the introduction.
“Online commerce is forced to rely almost entirely on financial institutions serving as trusted electronic payment processors … What is needed is an electronic payment system based on evidence of cryptography instead of trust, allowing any two entities wishing to trade directly with each other without the need for the participation of an additional, trusted entity “
– we read on.

Celebrities wish BTC all the best!
This year, it was decided to celebrate the anniversary with light humor. Greetings for Bitcoin were posted on the social media platform for sharing Cameo videos. It’s just that they are made not by members of the blockchain community or famous personas from this market, but by celebrities: famous musicians, actors and comedians. The Halborn company is behind the initiative.
And so all the best for cryptocurrencies: David Hasselhoff, Charlie Sheen, Carole Baskin, Charlamagne Tha God, Gilbert Gottfried, Doug Benson, Hassan Johnson, Soulja Boy and RZA.
Everything is served lightly. For example, Charlamagne Tha God doubts, for example, whether the photos he found while typing “Satoshi Nakamoto” in Google actually represent the creator of BTC.
In turn, the famous star of “Sun Patrol” David Hasselhoff explains to us that he designed Bitcoin.
Of course, the form of such a celebration may outrage conservative fans, but on the other hand, it shows how far Bitcoin has come over this decade and two years: from the toy geeks to the asset almost everyone talks about today and in which the largest Wall Street companies invest.
