On July 4, a series of cryptocurrency and blockchain documentaries premiered on Discovery Science. Particular emphasis was placed on the creation of the Dragonchain blockchain platform developed by Disney.
Filming of cryptocurrencies
With the advent and increase in popularity of digital streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix, documentaries about cryptocurrencies and blockchain assure producers that they are moving on a wave of popularity. Earlier, in May, Amazon released Bitcoin Africa – a documentary about the well-known African “Bitcoin woman” who, after facing serious life difficulties, became the face of digital Africa.
Last year, Netflix announced its plans to broadcast a documentary series about altcoins built on the success of bitcoin. It will also contain inspirational stories of leading world crypto personalities such as Vitalik Buterin from Ethereum, Yi He from Binance, founder of Cardano – Charles Hoskinson, and many others.
What will the new document be about?
The new document gives an insight into what the future would look like if the crypto-revolution technology expected by many enthusiasts had come about. The new episodes will continue throughout the summer, after several episodes a week.
He also develops the unusual story of Joe Roets, who founded and launched Dragonchain, arousing public interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Roets, which has over 20 years of experience in managing the development of many technology startups, financing several promising projects, in 2017, designed a hybrid blockchain platform for B2B applications and helped companies implement blockchain, despite limited resources.
The document will also discuss Disney and Facebook projects. Despite harsh criticism and objections at every step, both companies have realized their vision of reaching millions of people around the world.
In addition to the largest projects, the document will also tell about some of the noteworthy characters that led to the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. These include names such as Brock Pierce, a billionaire who has just announced his candidacy for US president, creator of one of the most popular tokens in the world, Charles Hoskinson of Cardano, and former Overstock president Patrick Byrne.
The Discovery Channel is currently one of the most-watched television networks watched by around 81 million users in the US, around six million in Canada and over 450 million viewers around the world.
