Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski admitted that as early as April 19 the process of defrosting the Polish economy will begin.
Szumowski: frostbite will start on April 19
Let us remind you that due to the coronavirus epidemic, many Poles have been working remotely or not at all for over a month. In addition, many types of shops, beauty and hair salons, as well as cinemas and theaters are closed. Everything is, however, going back to normal from April 19. This is also based on the health system. According to the politician, if the economy collapses, even more people will fall ill.
It is not known what will happen to the schools.
– And the question is whether we can defrost the economy without releasing children to school or not. I also remind you that if we do not freeze the economy, people will die not on Covid-19, but on other diseases – pointed at the media Szumowski. By the way he added that “Medicine requires a budget, requires money.”
No more holidays?
Of course, we will be leaving the epidemic in installments. Tourism will receive a severe blow.
– We can forget about holidays as we have had so far. There are no scientific data that would say the epidemic will end due to summer. We have much higher temperatures in the world and the virus is still present. I do not suspect that June and July will end the epidemic. Unfortunately, we will struggle with her for a year or more – added Szumowski.
Until May 3, the 14-day quarantine obligation for persons returning from abroad is expected to last. The borders will also remain closed until this date. It is not known whether this period will be extended. The same applies to the organization of mass events, which are prohibited until further notice.
